How do I get my site optimized? I'm still very new to all of this. When I first started out it was all a matter of learning HTML codes and Java, now there's DHTML and all kinds of other stuff. To top it off I just recently got hosted so yeah, lots of new problems. I welcome any help you can offer me.

Ok spirit.

For you as a newbie to understand seo, seo is to optimize a websites structure, contents, meta tags (and many other things but to that later), so that search engines can read the information and understand the topic of your website, if you have done a good job the search engine will "understand" that your document has the most valuable information (amongst all millions of other websites), for the user and put you #1 in the search results on search engines. Link building and forum postings are also methods of seo. If you mention your website address like I will do this (bellow), these are all backlinks that will increase your linkpopularity. In addition the forum post has a further advantage any person that searches for a term might not find your website because it ranks to low but he might find you through this posting because forums commonly have higher pagerank. A never ending story Big Grin
