Script Best for Making Professional Sites

Ok friends,i have got my pc now and i want to make my site more professinal now....
So what shall be my 1st step now?? I installed Dreamweaver,but it was shit... I could not do anything with dat an d atlast ended up deleting it... Plz say me how to proceed...

You need Photoshop for your graphics and a FTP program for uploading your site. These are the only programs that I use. All the editing that I do to the sites after that is done with the help of text editors.
But this is my working style. Yours probably is different.
You need to figure out first what sort of programs do you need or do you think you will use and we can recommend you suitable programs for your needs.

any text editor, windows notepad works just fine...

Well, do not use wordpad. DO NOT!
It often adds some weird characters in your codes and messes them bad. It happened to me a lot. I can recommend you Notepad++(it's free so the download link is not warez ). It's something like a super-notepad! Not only that it has some advanced functions of word, it also recognizes quite a large number of programming languages and can compile them!!!!!!!!!!!
And yeas, Adobe Photoshop will sure do, but there are others programs that can do similar stuff that are easier to use but also less powerful. It's not that hard to use though. I simply recommend you to do what I did. That is... just play with all the tools and options ) In most of the cases you will see the effects yourself.

most ftp clients will have this as well...I use cuteftp and it will give suggestions for most html tags

i tend to edit on the fly...i should do all of my editing offline, but i like to be able to physically see the differences

ok i think,i shall try dreamweaver once again... ok how can i learn photoshop editing works easily???? i badly need dat now... n cedik,plz gimmie a direct link for Flash editor... Aint there any other ways to prepare everything readymade or easily????

As far as I know, Flash is not a free tool!
You must pay for it!
I can give you a warez link trough pm but the problem is Flash is a bit more complicated! You could modify the template at a lower level but in order to do it on a higher level you need some knowledge of flash! And that... Flash is not so easy learn. You also need to learn Flash's action script which is a programming language made for Flash!

Oh,i wont take flash templates den.. First i need a perfect template for my site... Plz check out my site,and gimmie a proper template for it....


Ok i have downloaded few teplates too,but those doesnt comply with my site contents.. can someone suggest me da best website for templates... so dat i can get da perfect one from it....

I suggest you to depend on scripts for making sites. You can make a good content site with CMS Scripts. An example: Joomla.

But those CMS sites only help for blogs an forums na??? I dont think they also support scripts for personal websites... A'm i right or its my wrong concept?? Im just hanging on dis concept,as i have to design my personal site with dat... Now plz clarify...

Of course you can make a personal website with a CMS. You can also make custom pages inside a CMS, you know... This way, you can make it look just like you desire!

Ok i have downloaded it now.. Now say me how to proceed ... i downloaded Jooomla. Its of 2.7mb.. i unzipped it and found a no of files and pages of nearly 6.5mb,but i cant understand what to do next... help....

Upload the full file to your server's home directory. Change the content of configuration.php file with your hosting account's details, by opening it and editing the file with a text editor (notepad). Then enter to the "administrator" directory with your browser to change the look and content of your site.

You should have a login form on the index! Just enter your admin username and password!
